Travel & Money||

Who else is guilty of thinking travel will cost an arm and a leg? Or that if you go for places which do not have as good of a rating, that you wont be able to travel and explore?  Or more importantly enjoy yourself.

I know I am definitely guilty of this, for years I thought that I had to stay In some of the best hotels, in the best locations and spend thousands on trips, when actually I don't - and neither do you.

In this section I will explain, teach and guide you into making travel work for you, and not you having to work your life away to be able to have one trip a year. When you could be exploring the world on a regular basis throughout the year and on a tight budget and it still be insta worthy. What more could you want ey?

Money Saving Tips||

Everyone has their dreams of how travel should look, for me - my dream is for travel to be affordable, and sustainable. You shouldn't have to pay out a fortune to have a good time and explore the world.

This year in 2022, I have managed to travel too 5 separate countries, all at a reasonable rate, the most expensive being Dubai, however being out in Dubai itself wasn't actually that expensive when you look at the exchange rate, one of the biggest tips I can give anyone wanting to travel, is learn to use your card but in their currency as its cheaper and comes with less bank charges.  I literally swear blind by my MONZO card, its been a complete life saver, and I'll happily provide anyone with a link to get yourselves one. Infact, ill add the link to the bottom of this page for you all.

I only found out about monzo earlier this year, just as I was preparing to head over to duabi, a fellow traveler recommended it to me. Best decision I made, as I used to be charged an arm and a leg to use my usual bank card or credit card abroad - and well none of us want that! I figured out the amount I used to be charged by the bank could actually pay for flights to somewhere else, which is crazy! I wont be making that mistake again.

I always get my flights direct with the airline, this is the cheapest way I have found to travel currently, but don't hold me to that just yet with the way things are going it might change over time - however this is the way I prefer to travel. Travel isn't just a one way suits all thing, a lot of people worry about the way I tend to travel but I find it to be the most rewarding way.

Accommodation, where to even start - www.booking.com is my savour. I book all my accommodation through this, or I find a place that interests me then go to their own website and do a comparison between the two prices. One thing I love about using booking.com is their is a lot of places you do not need to pay upfront for, which is fantastic! I tend to pay for my accommodation on arrival, this is because I can book my flights at a reasonable rate then go on to find somewhere with a reasonable price to book, or vice versa, I research the area the airlines travel too which take my interest, then go onto booking.com and have a look at prices for lodgings, if the price is right for both accommodation and flights then I go ahead and book, if not I reserve the hotels or hostels which provide the option to pay on arrival and wait till flights drop in price before booking them.

I absolutely love staying in hostels, they have such an incredible atmosphere and its a great way to save money but also meet like minded traveler. I tend to find you can find some incredible hostels which have all the same stuff a hotel would have but at a fraction of the price, which means one thing - more money saved for you to use whilst out there!
